Adv Mkhwebane resigns from the EFF

The year 2024 will probably be recorded as one of the worst years for the red berets, EFF.Having not done well in the National and Provincial elections in May, the party also itself losing some of It’s senior members.

Few months back, long comrade, best friend and founding member of the party EFF (Economic Freedom Fighters), Floyd Shivambu shocked the country including the party president Julius Malema when he announced that he will not be renewing his membership.

Joined by the party in a media briefing, he announced that he was resigning from the party and later on joined the newly formed party led by former President Jacob Zuma, MK Party together with Mzwanele Manyi. Today former Public Protector and MP Adv Busisiwe Mkhwebane also made an announcement that she will resigning from the party as well.

She made this announcement in a podcast interview, SMWX by Sizwe Mpofu-Walsh. In not so many words Mkhwebane said that although she does not have any problem with the party, she believes they have the best policies.

However she was limited in her duties and could not fully many of the things she felt passionate about apart from being a Member of Parliament.

When asked if she will be joining former Deputy President Floyd Shivambu in the MK Party, she said she was approached by the party several times before the elections.
