A rape case against a 50 years old teacher at Mbilwi Secondary School has been postponed to August 16 pending further investigations.
The school has recently found itself under the spotlight for wrong reasons with reports of bullying in the school where a learner took her life after being recorded being bullied by a fellow schoolmate.
In this case the 50 years old Makhuvha Solomon is facing three counts of rape having allegedly raped a teenager who was 17 years at time of the incident in 2018.
It is said that Makhuvha raped the victim on multiple occasions and also threatened her should she say a word of the ordeal.
He also gave her money to keep the matter a secret.
Thohoyandou Magistrates Court granted Makhuvha R 5000 bail with strict conditions that requires him to not be in any kind of contact with the victim nor leave Limpopo province with the consent or knowledge of the Investigating Officer (IO).
He is also expected to report to Sibasa Correctional Services every last Friday of month.
