21 years Paris Mphela gets a life sentence for raping three women in KwaMhlanga

A 21 years old rapist from KwaMhlanga has been sentenced to a life imprisonment for raping two adult women having been released on bail on another count of rape in July 2019.
Paris Mphela was first arrested after raping his first victim in July 2019 but was later released on bail. It is said according to NPA Spokesperson Monica Nyuswa that Mphela committied these crimes in between July 2019 and November 2020 where his first victim was dragged to the bushes with another unknown perpetrator and was raped by both Mphela and the other perpetrator.
“He was granted bail and continued with his rape spree while he was out on bail. He attacked two victims in their homes where one was dragged out of the yard, assaulted and forcefully raped. The other one was raped multiple times.”
Nyuswa added that Mphela’s spree after his last victim positively identified him with is gold tooth and that they lived in the same area.
Police were notified and he was subsequently arrested and DNA also backed the victims’ case.
Presiding over the case, magistrate said she had to consider Mphela’s guilty plea to the charges and she saw no need to bring the victims forward to testify, as a result court’s time was also saved.
