SA has recorded 1 609 Covid-19 related fatalities in the last seven days

Health Ministry has reported 1 609 Covid-19 related fatalities in the last seven days and 15 672 recorded cases.

The Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize also reported less than 100 fatalities in the last 24 hours for the first time in a while.

They reported 78 Covid-19 related deaths as of late Sunday night most of which are from Gauteng Province.

“Regrettably we reported 78 more COVID-19 related deaths Eastern Cape 2, Free State 10, Gauteng 37, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Mpumalanga 9 and Western Cape 15 which brings the total to 47 899 deaths.”

“Our recoveries now stand at 1 388 321, representing a recovery rate of 93%” said the Minister.
