Health Ministry records over 21K Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

SA Covid-19 cases is slowly closing in on 1,1million mark as related fatalities also grows.

This is after Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said that they have recorded over 20K cases in the last 24 hours taking the total number of confirmed cases to 1 149 591.

Gauteng is still in the lead of top three most affected provinces in the country with 310 201 cases followed by KwaZulu Natal with 230 283 cases and Western Cape at 227 654.

“Regrettably, a further 844 deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 452, Free State 12, Gauteng 96, Kwa-Zulu Natal 65, Limpopo 11, Mpumalanga 8, North West 46, Northern Cape 5 and Western Cape 149.”

This is according minister Mkhize who also said that the total number of related fatalities now stands at 31 368 deaths.
