5 suspects in the AKA & TIBZ case denied bail

Five suspects who were arrested earlier this year for the alleged murder Hip Hop super star and friend, Chef, Kiernan Jarred “AKA” Forbes and Tibello “Tibz” Motsoane, respectively have been denied bail.
The suspects are accused of playing a role in the murder of the duo early last year, in February 2023.
The suspects are aged between 21 and 36.
This is as the NPA is trying to extradite more other suspects from the neighboring country Swaziland.
Forbes and Motsoane were shot and killed in a clear hitman style in Durban in clear view of a CCTV. The court heard earlier this year that about R 800 000 was paid for the murder of AKA and Tibz was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The suspects will remain in police custody until the commencement of the case on August 8th, 2024.
