66 years old gets 25 years for raping a disabled woman

A rape case against a 66 years old man has finally reached its conclusion after over a year of trial at Mothibistad Regional Court.

The 66 years old Kabelo William Molumi was found raping a 25 years disabled woman in his house in September 2019.

The police Spokesperson in the area Colonel Gamieldien said that the perpetrator was caught in the act.

“The sister of the 25-year-old disabled female victim sent her (the victim) and a relative on an errand to her uncle in Ditshoshowaneng village. When the two did not arrive home, she went looking for them. The sister then received a call informing her that her sister was seen in the company of the accused”

“She went to his home where she witnessed through a window the accused busy raping her sister and forced the door open” said Colonel.

Molumi was later on arrested shortly after the incident was reported to the local police.

He was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment and declared unfit to possess a firearm. His name was also recorded in the National Sexual Offences Register.
