40 years old man gets over 160 years in prison on numerous counts of rape in Mpumalanga

Mpumalanga High Court has handed down a hefty prison term to a serial rapist who have been terrorising the community of Barberton for over three years.
A 40 years Thokozane David Nkambule from Dindela Location in Barberton was arrested February 13th 2015 after having committed over 20 criminal offences which most included rape and burglary among them.
NPA Regional Spokesperson Monica Nyuswa said that Nkambule’s victims range from 14 to 37 years and they are all from Barberton.
He had armed himself with a firearm which he would use to threaten his victims together with his unknown accomplice as they rob them from May 2011 to February 2015.
Nyuswa said that in one of the incidents that occurred in 2011 Nkambule and his accomplice broke into a house where they found the victim asleep, threatened her with a firearm, demanded money, robbed her of her belongings and instructed her to take off her clothes and perform oral sex one of them.
“On 12 February 2015 Nkambule entered a house and threatened two victims so to perform oral sex on him before raping them anally.”
Nyuswa added that Nkambule was arrested the following day and was found with a firearm, two magazines and 9mm calibre ammunition in his possession.
He further on denied all the allegations against him in court but the DNA results proved otherwise.
Judge Tony Thobane sentenced him to 4 life terms plus 154 years.
