Wife’s plan to have husband killed intercepted right on time

A 46 years old woman from Aliwal North in the Eastern Cape has been arrested for allegedly plotting to have her husband killed in their farm.

It is said that the suspect, Anelle De Bruin, allegedly instructed the informant to kill her husband, 56 years old Johan De Bruin along with anyone who stood in the way, at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, 8 January 2025.

However, police arrived that evening and arrested De Bruin.

An extremely shocked husband of 15 years, allegedly told the police there has never been any point and time where he thought they had problems in their marriage. Big enough to lead to this extreme measures.

De Bruin was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and appeared in court on Friday, 17 January 2025 where she was granted bail of R2,000.

The case was postponed to March 5th.
