[Watch] VIP Protectors assault motorist on the highway

Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said they are still investigating a case where VIP protectors were seen assaulting a fellow motorist and two other people on the road.
A video surfaced on social media on Monday where the protectors were seen leaving one of the three men on the ground helpless, presumably fainted.
Mathe said they are still collecting evidence.
“The SAPS has successfully traced the victims of this incident. The process to obtain their statements continues as part of the probe. The police officers involved have also been identified and will be subjected to internal processes. SAPS will cooperate with IPID investigation.”
National Police Commissioner Fanie Masemola has condemned the act and also confirmed that the men seen in that video are indeed officers.
