Yet another act of racism has surfaced but this time with a white person calling another white person for an alleged act of racism.
A video made rounds this weekend with a man shouting at a restaurant owner in Cape Town for allegedly telling his black friend to not enter into the establishment alone unless he has a white friend.
In the video the young man is heard telling the supposed owner to wake up to the reality of South Africa being a non-racist country that does not treat people a certain way based on their skin colour.
“Your bouncer stopped him (Thabiso) and asked him why are you going in, who you going in to?”
“He said are you asking me and then he said you can’t come in here unaccompanied without a white person”
“If you come in here, I know what you like, you steal. You hugs cause trouble. You need to come in here with a white person” said the man.
The video saw several social media users applauding the young man for standing up for his friend and not putting a blind eye.
In the interview with the SABC on Sunday the man said they have reported the matter to the police.
