Trio found in possession of stolen vehicle hours later

Cout appearance today of three men aged between 34 and 37 who were arrested after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle.

The trio was arrested by a joint operation by police, Mthatha District Task Team, Flying Squad, K9 together with a local security company after being informed about to a hijacked vehicle (Toyota Bakkie) in Mthatha Circus Triangle on Thursday, 20 March 2025 at about 16:30, led to the arrest of three male suspects aged between 35 – 37 years in Tyumbu locality, Mthatha.

The vehicle’s tracker system led police to Tyumbu locality and they spotted the hijacked vehicle with three male occupants which were all arrested and charged at Ngangelizwe police station for possession of a hijacked vehicle.

Suspects will appear before Mthatha Magistrate Court.
