Three police murder suspects arrested

Police in the North West confirm an arrest of suspects allegedly involved in the shooting and murder of an off-duty police officer who was on his way home at the time of the unfortunate incident in Ganyesa.

According to police information, the late Constable Eric Tekolo ,41, was attacked on his way home after knocking off.

He was taken to the local clinic after being found with stab wounds on the street at Phohung Section, Ganyesa village outside Vryburg on Friday evening, 04 April 2025.

The officer later succumbed to his injuries.Following further probe and investigations on the matter, the police efforts led to the arrest of three suspect aged 19, 23 and 25 including the recovery of some of the victim’s robbed goods.
