KZN football club Royal AM will now join Chippa United and Richards Bay in the relegation/promotion play-offs following a recent judgement by Judge Roland Sutherland on June 12th which saw them being two points away from the NFD log leaders.

This comes after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirmed that the application to review Hilton Epstein’s ruling to award Sekhukhune three points was dismissed.

As a result Sekhukhune F.C were officially crowned NFD champions and the Limpopo side secured automatic promotion to the PSL while Durban based team will have to fight for their seat in the top soccer league.

Sekgukhune filed an urgent application at the Johannesburg High Court 2 weeks ago that the arbitration award that saw them become the GladAfrica Championship champions be deemed final and binding.

Not happy about the final finding by the judge, Royal AM president Shaun Mkhize said she will fight the judge’s finding to the bitter end.
