SANDF to Increase Number of Soldiers to Enforce Lockdown

As we just close the second day of 21 days lockdown, law enforcement agencies seemed to have had their hands full but Minister Bheki Cele all will be well and those found violating lockdown regulations will be send behind bars.

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) also that it will increase its number and deploy members from its Reserve Force to complement contingents deployed across the country in the battle against the spread of the coronavirus. In addition, the SA Military Health Service will deploy Reserve Force doctors, nurses and operational emergency care practitioners.

Both SANDF, SAPS and various metro police officials were in various roadblocks enforcing the regulations.

Minister Cele had announced yesterday that they had arrested 55 people who had violated the regulations so far.

The number might increase.
