SA records over 2 000 Covid-19 cases in four consecutive days

South Africa has confirmed over 2 000 Covid-19 cases for the past four (4) consecutive days having recorded 2 161 positive cases in the last 24 hours bringing the total number to 1 594 817.

The increase in number of daily infections also comes at a time where the Department of Health continues to intensify Covid-19 vaccine rollout nationwide and calling for citizens to consider taking a jab of the vaccine.

Health Minister Dr Mkhize also said that they have recorded 37 more COVID-19 related deaths with Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and the Western Cape spared having recorded no Covid-19 related fatality.

Whereas Northern Cape recorded 7, Free State 2, Gauteng 21 and Kwa-Zulu Natal 7 which brings the total to 54 724 deaths.
