SA records 82% Covid-19 recovery rate

South Africa has finally surpassed 600 000 Covid-19 cased after recording 3 398 cases in the last 24 hours which also resulted in 225 new Covid-19 related fatalities.

Of the 603 338 total Covid-19 cases, Gauteng recorded 203 832 total cases followed by KZN 108 788 and Western Cape 103 942, making them top 3 epicenters in the country.

They all make up 69% of the 100% cases.

From the 225 confirmed fatalities, 81 were from KZN, 57 Eastern Cape, 46 from Gauteng, 25 from the Western Cape, 10 from North West, 6 from Northern Cape bringing the total number to 12 843.

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said the recovery number is now at 500 102 cases, claiming 82% rate.
