What was supposed to be a day to celebrate and enjoy saw three suspects being charged with attempted murder among others.

A video surfaced on social media on Monday showing a man who was now identified as 53-year-old Mare Hanscombe who is the owner of Hanscombe Resort in Orkney.

In the clip the 53 years old Hanscombe was seen being surrounded and at some point assaulted by people who were visiting the Resort.

It is said that the said visitors were unhappy that they were told not to smoke hubbly-bubbly by the employee because it is not allowed. Hanscombe then decided to approach them himself and offered to keep it at reception until such time they depart.

Instead, they refused and at some point one of the mob was seen stabbing him at the back and blood was seen dripping. Suspects handed themselves over to the police the following day seeing that the clip was making rounds on social media and they were calling for their arrest.

Hanscombe was hospitalized but discharged this morning. Following the incident, members of the group filed four assault complaints against Hanscombe, while his son filed a separate case with the police.
