Police nab one of the most wanted suspects in Mpumalanga

Police Spokesperson Brigadier Selby Mohlala has confirmed the arrest of one of the most wanted suspect who has been on the run for a while.

Mohlla said they received a tipoff on Monday about the said suspect in Bhuga, Kabokweni. Upon acting on the tipoff, the 35 years old was reportedly cornered at a local restaurant and arrested.

“During the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm with 16 live rounds ammunition.”

“It is alleged that the suspect was sought in connection with a number of cases including truck hijackings, business and house robberies committed in Nelspruit, White river, Kabokweni, Barberton and Nhlabatshe.”

Brig Mohlala added that he is expected to appear in Kabokweni District’s court today and other courts for various cases.
