Pankop Clinic in Mpumalanga shut down after staff member tests positive of Covid-19

Mpumalanga Department of Health says they have temporarily shut down Pankop Clinic after staff member has been confirmed to have tested positive of Covid-19.

Speaking to the spokesperson Mr Dumisani Malamule, he said the department is now working on tracing anyone who might have been close contact with the said staff member.

He added that the department is also preparing for decontamination of the facility.

The said staff member will add on to a number of 69 cases that been confirmed in Dr J.S Moroka Local Municipality as of July 14.

At the moment the province has a total 4 576 cases accounting to 1,5% to the national stats and 33 deaths, while recoveries stand at 1 179.
