Over 8K Covid-19 cases confirmed in one day in SA

South Africa surpasses 830K Covid-19 cases following confirmation of 8 166 new cases by the health ministry in the last 24 hours.
This takes the total number of cases to 836 764 and a total of 22 747 Covid-19 related fatalities.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize continued to plead with the citizens to adhere to Covid-19 regulations and primary precautionary measures amid second wave of infections.
He said that they have recorded 173 more COVID-19 related deaths of which Eastern Cape accounts for 90, Free State 13, Gauteng 8, Kwa-Zulu Natal 10 and Western Cape 52 which brings the total to 22 747 deaths.
