A District Court sitting in Upington in the Northern Cape has granted three Nigerian nationals R 10 000 bail each for the alleged plot to kill a police officer.

The suspects, Paul Ogor Ndudiokwe, Obinna Igbokwe , and Kenneth Ozor Onurarah, aged 46, 39 and 53 allegedly met at a certain house where they plotted the said murder of police officers because they arrested them on several occasions for drug related charges.

As a result of their arrests, they said that was killing their business.

Mojalefa Senokotsoane from the NPA said that the matter was brought to the attention of the police when a person overheard them and one of them also planned to rape the officers wife in front of him before killing him.

They were granted bail even when the State opposed it.
