North West Community Safety and Transport MEC Sello Lehari is saddened by the brutal and inhumane killing of a 68 years old woman and her 34 years old in Lesetlhaneng Hebron.
It is alleged according to information by the police that a plasma TV, DVD player and cell phones were stolen in what looked like a burglary this past Saturday.
It is in the same house where these two women were found.
The 68 years old woman was found lying in a pool of blood, while the daughter was found with feet and hands tied up in a bathtub.
They were both certified dead by Emergency Medical and Rescue Services on the scene.
Speaking to the departments’ spokesperson Mr Alpheus Koonyaditse he said the MEC condemned the killing and said the law must take action on such criminality and perpetrators must be brought to book.
The MEC further pleaded with community members not to take law into their own hands remain calm and help police to apprehend the perpetrators.
The value of these stolen goods is said to be around R 25 000.00.
