“Mbalula is a disappointment to the ANC”

ANC veteran Mavuso Msimang has sent a warning to the party’s Secretary General (SG) Fikile Mbalula and requested that he retracts a statement he made this past weekend during a party sitting in Ekurhuleni where he alleged that Msimang together with other former party members are being bribed to turn their backs on the party.

Msimang is the latest to publicly express his dissatisfaction of the party’s performance as of late and also went on to hand his resignation from the organization.

Former President Thabo Mbeki is also one of the party’s prominent people who said in several occasions that they are not happy with the party.

Msimang said the decision to leave the party was long thought of and he couldn’t have come to a different decision.

He also said that it is said that the once glorious movement with so much rich history is now led by people who are behaving like “clowns”.

“It’s really a pity the ANC has a person like Mbalula as its Secretary General, it’s an embarrassment. For an organisation that once boasted the likes of Sol Plaatjie, Oliver Tambo, Duma Nokwe (…) to end up with Mbalula is a commentary on the state of the nation,” Mavuso Msimang.
