Man gets 30 years for rape

Brits Magistrates Court in the North West has handed down a 30 years prison term to Lucky Letlhogonolo Khoza for raping a 24 years old woman.

Police Spokesperson in the area Colonel Adéle Myburgh said that the incident occurred in 2017.

Myburgh said that Khoza and his accomplice were driving in a blue Volkswagen Polo in Newline Section, Maboloka, near Brits, when they stopped next to the victim and overpowered her.

They forced her into the vehicle and tied her up with shoe laces, then took her to Primindia building that was still under construction.

“Khoza’s accomplice drove off, leaving the pair behind. The victim was then tied with a rope to a pole and ultimately raped. The convict robbed her of her cellphone and cash before he fled from the building.”

TThe38 years old Khoza was found guilty for kidnapping, rape and robbery and sentenced to 5 years, 20 years and 5 years respectively.
