“I will not be campaigning for the ANC of Ramaphosa”

A 33 years old man who had been known as a father figure to the 13 years old victim tor nine years used his power of trust to the victim to repeatedly dehumanize her at a time when she needed him to play a father figure role.

Robertson Magistrates Court in the Western Cape heard that the 33 years old man who cannot be named out of protection of the victim and save her from secondary victimization, was introduced to the young teenager’s life when she was 4 years old.

He starting cohabiting with the mother and had three other children from the same relationship.

He started violating the victim from August 2017 to January 2018 by raping her numerous times while her mother was at work and would also threaten to kill her should she say anything to anyone about the crime.

Unfortunately for the victim, a baby girl got conceived from the crime and the man was positively identified through DNA match.

He was given life sentence. Former President Jacob Zuma is back in the news again but with a different story line this time away from courts. With just few months away from one of the most anticipated historical elections, Mr Zuma made a jaw dropping announcement about his future in politics.

While very few political analysts say they saw this coming, some of his fellow comrades said they were rather disappointed by his decision to leave the only political he knew all his life, the African National Congress (ANC).

For more than 5 decades the former President had sang praises for the liberation movement, he said it is now time for him to find a new political home.

Supported by one of his favorite daughters on his left hand, in not so many words Zuma said he felt betrayed by the party and does not recognize “this ANC of Ramaphosa”.

He said he will not be campaigning for the party in the next years’ elections instead he will be supporting the newly registered party uMkhonto Wesizwe.

“This is not the ANC that I went to jail for.”
