EFF President Julius Malema says he thinks they should’ve listened to the complaints raised by party members in KwaZulu Natal about the former Deputy President Floyd Shivambu much sooner because they did lot of damage which led to the decline in votes in the province.
Malema was saying this during a press briefing ahead of the national elective conference in December, the National Peoples Assembly (NPA).
He said that Shivambu together with other delegates who were tasked with the responsibility to mobilize more support and votes in the province, decided to lie and documented things which did not exist.
“They cooked numbers so well that what they said made sense and we didn’t think anything untoward. But started being suspicious when the number of people coming to th stadium did not match the number of votes we received. That is why we decided to get rid of them.”
“We intervened upon realizing what was going on but unfortunately our intervention was late.”
He said that Shivambu and his team used party time and resources to do things went against the party.
