Heavy storms claim two teenage lives in Pampierstad

As heavy storms in Pampierstad Northern Cape leaves several families homeless with their house seriously destroyed, another family was left traumatised after losing two their children when a wall collapsed on them.

It is said that the two, 18 and 12 years old died on the scene.

Police say two persons were also transported to Hartswater hospital to receive medical treatment for the injuries sustained during the storm.

They added that the whole area of Pampierstad and the neighborhood has been affected, electricity is down, trees were uprooted and roofs blown off some houses in the area.

An inquest docket was opened following this experience.
