Health Ministry confirms 8 146 new Covid-19 cases

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says South Africa now has recorded a total number of 1 412 986 after recording 8 147 new cases identified since the last report.

This is also number of recoveries also continue to grow now standing at 87%, accounting to 1 230 520 people.

“Regrettably we have also 300 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 43 , Free State 15, Gauteng 45, Kwa-Zulu Natal 70, Mpumalanga 6, North West 14, Northern Cape 2 and 105 Western Cape.”

This brings the total to 40 874 deaths.
