Ga-Rankuwa Magistrates Court set to sentence Winterveldt serial rapist

Ga-Rankuwa magistrate’s court is set to hand down a sentencing today for convicted serial rapist Sbongiseni Njabulo Prince Ngwenya who was accused of committing several crimes including robbery.

The 25 years Ngwenya denied committing the said crimes during his previous court appearances.

NPA Spokesperson Henry Mamothame said the young man is facing facing 48 counts which include rape, armed robbery, housebreaking and attempted murder.

He was found guilty for 38 of them, 16 of which were rape counts.

Ngwenya has been in custody ever since his arrest on September 1, 2018.
