City of Tshwane fails to elect new Mayor

The capital city, City of Tshwane is set to finish off the week without an Executive Mayor after failing to elect a new one before the adjournment on Friday.
The city last had a Mayor with Dr Murunwa Makwarela who only occupied the sit for less than five (5) days.
He resigned on March 10th.
The City’s Speaker who is African Transformation Movement (ATM) member and councillor Mncedi Ndzwanana, presided over the meeting and resolved to adjourn the council sitting on Friday because there was no quorum.
This came as a result of the DA and its coalition partners walk out from the council meeting.
