Cash-In-Transit heist suspect on the run

The Mpumalanga Hawks have launched a manhunt for the 29 years old man who was allegedly involved in a Cash-In-Transit heist.

Captain Dineo Sekgotodi said Zola Martin Mnisi was linked to a heist that occurred earlier this month, August 11, at Malelane where an armoured vehicle (AV) of Fidelity was traveling from Malelane towards Tonga when the fidelity vehicle was attacked by a group of criminals approximately 15 km from the N4.

“The AV was rammed by a C- class, Mercedes Benz. The driver of the AV lost control and the vehicle overturned. The AV was bombed, and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.”

“During the investigation Mnisi was allegedly linked to the incident. The report was presented before Nkomazi Magistrate Court and a warrant for his arrest was authorised.”

Captain Sekgotodi added by pleading with anyone with information regarding Minisi is requested to contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Albert  De Lange on  071 481 2815. Information received will be handled confidentially.
