Boyfriend arrested after allegedly stabbing 7 months pregnant girlfriend to death

North West Police confirm an arrest of a 34 years man for the alleged murder of his pregnant girlfriend.

It is said according to information at our disposal that the suspect had been the visiting the deceased girlfriend when the argument between the two occurred where the man soon to be named stabbed his seven (7) months pregnant girlfriend on the chest with a knife.

This all allegedly happened in front of the deceased mother’s gate when he was accusing her of cheating on him.

Lieutenant Colonel Amanda Funani from the North West poloce said that he the took the girlfriend to the nearby clinic shortly after stabbing her.

“The suspect was arrested at the victim’s home the same day and was charged with murder. Depending on post-mortem results, an additional charge of murder may be added” said Colonel.

This all happened on Saturday and he is due to appear at Schweizer-Reneke Magistrates’ Court.

Provincial Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena condemned the gruesome act and called for justice to be served.
