President to give update on Covid-19 progress in the National Assembly this Thursday

President Matamela Ramaphosa is set to face a tough crowd this Thursday on his quarterly reply of questions in the National Assembly.

This is South Africa has just welcomed another batch of vaccines which landed earlier this week.

In a statement the President’s office, the Presidency, the President said that he will use this opportunity to address the progress on recent Covid-19 developments.

“President Ramaphosa will outline details of the country’s vaccination programme following the resumption of the vaccination of health workers and in the same week as the first batch of Pfizer vaccines arrives in the country.”

“He will also deal with progress in the implementation of the Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan, including recent announcements on the expansion of the country’s energy generation capacity, the work of Operation Vulindlela and the successful first phase of Presidential Employment Stimulus” said acting Spokesperson for the President Tyrone Seale.
