Batsumi and Diphororo hitmaker and legendary jazz musician Ntate Jonas Gwangwa passes away aged 83

Soweto born legendary jazz musician Ntate Jonas Gwangwa has passed away at the age of 83.

Having played a huge role in the arts and performance industry in South Africa, Ntate Gwangwa gained recognition on the international stage in the 1960s having also shared tours and stages with the legendary Mama Africa, Mama Mariam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, just to name few.

Ntate Gwangwa’s cause of death is not yet known to the public.

In our hour of mourning the loss of many precious lives around us, we pray also that the soul of Jonas Gwangwa will rest in peace.
