Eskom to implement stage 2 loadshedding

Estimated reading time: 2 minute(s)

Power utility Eskom has announced stage 2 loadshedding that is set to commence in the early Thursday morning.

They say they are battling with several breakdowns of generation units at their plants that have taken 2,0000 megawatts off the grid.

“Due to the increase in the generation unit breakdowns, Eskom regrets to inform the country that it will implement stage 2 loadshedding starting at 08:00am this morning. This will continue until 22:00pm.”

The power utility says the loadshedding is caused by an increase in plant breakdowns during the night and early hours in the morning.
