Magesi FC secures third consecutive win

Magesi FC moves further away from the relegation position in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after securing a third consecutive win when they defeated the third placed Stellenbosch FC 1-0 at the Seshego Stadium on Saturday evening.

Also known as Dikwena tsa Meetse, the team brought up a hat-trick of victories for the first time, thanks to a second-half strike from substitute Thabang Sibanyoni, with the result lifting them to 11th place on the log leaving them with just three points short of the top eight.

Magesi had had the likes of Kayden Rademeyer shooting their shots at the keeper Sage Stephens with no luck in the first half of the game.

However, Stellenbosch dominated the remainder of the first half, with striker Andre De Jong the central figure.Sibonyoni changed the game in the 70th minute after scoring the goal.
