CIT heist suspect hands himself over to the police

Court appearance today of two Cash-In-Transit heist suspects where one of them handed himself over to the police after a circulation of his image by the police on social media.

The 29 years old Zola Martin Mnisi was remanded in custody after making a brief appearance at Kabokweni Magistrate Court on Monday, 9 October 2023.

Added to the heist charges he faces, he also faces murder charges of a Fidelity Security Officer during a Cash In Transit Robbery at Kabokweni.

An investigation on the matter led the officials to two other similar cases, murder and heist in April, July and the recent one in August. He is still expected to appear in court for White River and Malelane cases, respectively.

Police have urged his co-accused, 31 years old Mpendulo Absima HASSANE linked to the recent one on August 11th to hand himself over and furthermore asked for public assistance to locate him.
