Mother and son arrested for giving drug dealer a gun to settle debt

A 67 years old mother together with her 35 years old son were arrested in Secunda for allegedly contravening the provisions of the firearm control act of 2000.
The two were arrested for allegedly giving away a 38 special revolver and 6 live rounds ammunition to a drug dealer that was owed by the son for drugs. They offered the gun as a form of payment for the debt.
They were traced after the gun was confiscated from the dealer on March 9th.
It is said that they owed the drug dealer R 1 500.00.
