The Buccaneers claim MTN8 trophy

The Buccaneers showed more hunger to win the MTN8 as compared to their opponents having managed to keep the score on 0-1 throughout the first half all the way to the second half.

Almost thanks to Monnapule Saleng who had to redeem himself after being a no show in a match against the long rivals Amakhosi in the Soweto derby.

Saleng secured the R 8million cash prize win for the Buccaneers after scoring a free kick in the 25^th minute over AmaZulu.

This will be the 11^th top 8 cup for the Buccaneers since it was established over 4 decades back. They are 4 trophies behind Amakhosi who won it 15 times.
