Man in court for allegedly killing wife

Court appearance today of a 28 years old man for the alleged murder of his wife Thuleka Zabezolo.

The incident is said to have occurred early Thursday morning around 2am where neighbors said they heard argument coming from the couple’s home in Extension 11, Ikageng near Potchefstroom.

Upon hearing the commotion, the neighbors then summoned the local police officers to the scene.

Police Spokesperson in the area Colonel Adéle Myburgh said unfortunately the officials arrived late at the scene to find the 34 years old Zabezolo lying in her own pool of blood.

“The victim was found lying in a pool of blood with numerous stab wounds on her chest and severe head injuries.”

“Her three-year-old son (from a previous relationship) was rescued from the house unharmed. Zabezolo was declared dead on the scene by Emergency and Medical Rescue Services (EMRS). Consequently the police arrested the suspect.”

Col Myburgh added that they had to force entry upon arriving at the scene.
