Zimbabwean pastor gets life term for the murder of three women in Temba

The North West High Court division has handed down two life terms for a 50 years old man for the murder and rape women 4 years ago.
Lucas Chauke’s acts of violence against women was out to an end when one of his victims managed to free herself after being raped and left to supposedly die in a secluded area.
NPA Spokesperson Henry Mamothame said that the man whom they Katerina on discovered that he is a Zimbabwean national illegal in the country disguised himself as a trusted man in the community in Temba, Hammaskraal where he was a pastor.
He took three women aged 55 and 53 years on separate occasions in 2017 and 2018 to the nearby dam under the disguise of helping them with their spiritual needs.
The first victim fell prey on October 8, 2017 where she was taken to the dam nearby, upon arrival, she was repeatedly raped by Chauke, tied on the tree before fleeing the scene leaving the woman who eventually managed to free herself.
Two other victims fell prey in May and August 2018 and the same presence of taking a trio to the damage to be helped with their spiritual dilemmas. Upon arrival at the same secluded area, one was tied, raped and left on the scene.
Whereas the other one in a separate incident was only tied on the tree after a failed attempt to rape her. But they both died when they couldn’t free themselves.
He was arrested following a DNA link and sentenced to life imprisonment for rape and 15 years each for murder of two other victims.
