Two teenage brothers stab and kill another teenager at a pub

Police ha e confirmed an arrest of two brothers aged 16 and 19 for the alleged murder of an 18 years old man in Tubatse, Burgersfort on Monday, 26 December.

Police Spokesperson Brigadier Matlafela Mojapelo said the teens were arrested in a space of hours after hearing about the murder.

The two accused were arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing an 18-year-old man next to the local pub in Praktiseer

“The police received a call from a community member about the body of an unknown man lying next to Mama She Is Pub in Praktiseer. On arrival at the scene, the members found the body of a man with stab wounds.”

“The local standby detectives took over the docket and within hours, they managed to trace and apprehend the suspects at about 10:50.”

“The deceased was later identified as 18-year-old Thabo Mokwena from Shushumela, Praktiseer.”

He added that the suspects will appear in Praktiseer Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 28 December 2022 facing a charge of murder.
