Suspects allegedly involved in the murder of a taxi owner try to run over a police officer

A high speed chase which almost led severe injuries to police officer led to a successful arrest of four suspects in connection with a murder of a taxi owner.

The chase and the arrest occurred on Friday following an identification of the said suspects alleged to being behind the murder of Bolobedu taxi owner and his companion.

One suspect also attempted to run over the police officer with his BMW motor vehicle.

Police found during the arrest, ammunition and firearm.

Two Toyota Quantums used in the crime, a 9mm pistol with two live ammunitions and BMW 3 series were also recovered during the arrest.

It is said that all the suspects arrested are taxi operators in the local taxi association. They are due to make a court appearance at Bolobedu.
