Just as the second half of 2025/26 PSL season begins, Stellies welcomed three players from Gauteng to boost them after struggling to put on good performance this season after losing 8 games in 14 matches. Also new to the team, coach Gavin Hunt, he joined together with two on loan and one free agent.

Striker Tshegofatso Mabasa and winger Kobamelo Kodisang from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns respectively, are both on loan while defender Mosa Lebusa came in as a free agent after leaving log leaders and title defenders Mamelodi Sundowns after being with them for seven years.

Club CEO Rob Benadie said he was happy to welcome new head coach Hunt who he believes is also excited to work together and guide players of their caliber to help the team reach their target in the remaining half this season.

“These signings have arrived on a short-term deals but represent a clear statement of our intent to improve this season, and we are confident that they possess the quality to make an immediate impact.”

“They are players of an international standard, having all represented South Africa, and bring an ingrained winning mentality and understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest level.”
