Lady who was reported missing has been found murdered

A kidnapping and murder case against a 29 years old Mozambican national, Sinethembe Mabaso has been postponed to September 16th for legal representative and possible bail application.

Mabaso was arrested on August 26th after being found in possession of a Volkswagen Polo Vivo belonging to a 26 years old Nomsa Jas who was reported missing on August 25th, 2024 after leaving her workplace in Potchefstroom.

A joint operation between the North West and Gauteng Police led to the arrest of Mabaso at a mall in Springs.

Her decomposed body was later on found abandoned in a bush along R501 road in Carletonville.

The suspect was arrested and charged with kidnapping, robbery and murder. Investigations into the matter, including searching of the other suspect is underway.
