Banyana Banyana to host Morocco in the Wafcon finals

South African Football Association (SAFA) President Dr Danny Jordan has congratulated Banyana Banyana for securing a spot in the Women’s Afcon (WAFCON) finals after beating Zambia 1-0 in the semifinals on Monday night.

“Banyana Banyana achieved this feat on Mandela Day and marked it by clinching a place in the final. We send our congratulations to the team after this massive effort,” Dr Jordaan said.

Banyana Banyana secured the priceless victory from the penalty spot after Linda Motlhalo converted deep in stoppage-time.

Banyana will be hosting Morocco in the said finals this coming weekend, 23 July.
