Angelo Agrizzi to hear his bail appeal application outcome

Estimated reading time: 3 minute(s)

Former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi is set to hear outcome on his bail appeal application in the High Court.

Agrizzi has been incarcerated since 14 October, after the Palm Ridge Specialised Crimes Court refused him bail.

He was on 15 October moved to a state hospital after his medical condition needed more attention.

He had nine armed guards watching over him in the ICU of a Jo’burg private hospital after suffering a heart attack this past week.

The Investigating Directorate Spokesperson Sindisiwe Twala said that the Investigating Directorate said that Agrizzi lied in his previous bail affidavit in February 2019 to the court saying he and his wife own movable assets valued at approximately R 2.6 million and immoveable property valued at approximately R14 million, which was way below.

“The true position is that as of 06 February 2019, the family-owned movable assets (excluding household furniture, jewellery and art) worth R35.6 million and not R 2.65 million.”
