Gauteng welcomes SANDF medical team as they record over 60% of daily Covid-19 cases nationally

Gauteng Premier David Makhura has welcomed the deployment of SANDF medical team in the province to assist in the curbing of Covid-19 spread as the country enters into a third wave.

The Health Department in the province has found itself under immense pressure having been confirmed COVID-19 hotspot lately.

The province accounts to 30.79% of the total cases in country followed by KZN with 18.86%. 567 681 and 347 687 respectively.

Gauteng is to be accounting to 67% of the positive cases reported in the last 24 hours followed by the Western Cape with 8%.
