SA confirms over 2K new Covid-19 cases

SA records a total number of 1 613 728 Covid-19 cases having recorded 2 585 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Gauteng is still taking the lead in most confirmed cases with 434 597 cases followed by KZN with 338 029 cases.

The total number of Covid-19 related deaths now stands at 55 210 while the total number of recoveries is at 1 524 352.

This is also as total number of vaccines administered continues to grow at 478 733.

“Today, 27 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 0, Free State 2, Gauteng 10, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 6, North West 0, Northern Cape 1 and Western Cape 3 which brings the total to 55 210 deaths” said health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize.
